After Violet, Sunny, and Klaus found out that count Olaf was in the hospital with them they knew that the had to find a place to hide after they finished working in the library. They decided to hide in the unfinished half of the hospital instead of staying in one of the rooms. Since that part of the hospital was not finished they had to basically stay outside and it was always windy and cold. The reason why the children wanted to work in the library was so that they could find a file to prove there inocences and to show that Count Olaf was evil.

The children were each assigned a job that suited them the best. Violet had to keep the files in order. Klaus had to put the right files down the chute and Sunny had to use her teeth to pick the locks on the file cabinets because the librarian did not have all the keys to them. Then then they heard a voice over the inter com. It was Count Olaf. He said that he was going all over the hospital and checking up on all of the worker. The children knew that he knew that they were in the building.

The the children were each a assigned a job. Violet was to Keep all of the files in a certain order. Klaus had to send certain files down the chute and Sunny had to use her teeth to pick some of the locks because the librarian did not have all of the keys to the file cabinets. The children were satisfied with the jobs that they have picks because it fit them perfectly. Then all of a sudden they heard a voice on the intercom. it was Count Olaf. He said that he was going to do a search of the whole building to check up on everything. The children knew he knew that they were in the building.

The children headed to the basment were they can learn there new jobs at the library of records. As they went down the stairs further into the basment it started to get darker. Then they came to a door. When they opened it they noticed a person with small glasses at the desk. They went up to him and told him why they were hear. He said told them that he needed people to help him out in the library because he wasn't able to see very well. They were each asign a certain job that suited them perfectly.

When the children got to the hospital they realized only half of it was done. The left side had everything it needed but the right side didnt even have walls. The children and the other volenteers went inside. They all were carrying a yellow baloon with a happy face on it. Then over the intercom they heard a voice. They realized who it was. It was Count Olaf. The children knew that he knew where they were. They tried to volenteer for a job that would kept them hidden from Count Olaf. They worked in the library of records in the basment of the hospital

The other people in the van were other members of the group. They were all singing happy song and smiling, except for the three children. They decided not to tell them there real names just in case they read something about them. Then they found that these people did not read the newspaper. They went up to the driver and started talking to him. They were talking about what the members do and where were they going. They found out that they were going to a hospital. The children then waited on the long trip to the hospital.

When the children left the store they started running. They have gotten to a van and the was a guy standing in front of it. He was one of the VFD (voluteer fighting disease). He thought the children were volunteers so he told them to get in the van. The children thought about it for a second because they didn't want to just get in the van with a stranger. They decide to get in any way because they noticed the store keeper was catching up to them. When they get in the van the noticed they were not alone.

The person who came into the store was a mailman. He had a newspaper in his hand. He started talking to the store keeper about how the is a search going on by the police in the area. He and a another group of people were the only people allowed there. The mailman shows the store keeper the photo the murderers. As soon as the children noticed he had the newspaper when he first came in they tried to sneak out. When the storekeeper reconized there faces he screamed and chased after them. The children have already escaped from him.
